Knowing what questions to ask the neonatal and perinatal medicine experts will help you choose the medical center that is right for you. First, ask the nursing facility how long they have been in business. Nurse practitioners and doctors with several years of experience should have the equipment, vitamins, and medicines to care for an unborn baby or a newborn. Ask them if they have an intensive care unit that can care for you or your infant if there are complications while giving birth. If the health care facility has a pharmacy, then they should also be able to supply you with any medication that the nurses or doctors think that you need to help ensure the health of your baby. While your primary concern should be find a facility with the nursing and epidemiology knowledge needed to care for you and your child, you should also consider price. Ask them if they accept insurance from your provider so that you can reduce the amount of money that you are responsible for.
